1. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

— Promotion of healthy life style;

— Promoting tourism;

— Promoting traditions and Moldovan folklore, gastronomy and wine culture;

— Promotion of track and field sports in the Republic of Moldova;

— Attracting people to regular physical activity and sports for health promotion.

 

2. ORGANIZATION AND CONDUCT OF WINE RUN

3. DATE AND PLACE OF WINE RUN

Cricova City. The participants will be taken to the place of the start by a special bus that will take off from Chisinau (Riscani, in front of the Circus) at 8:30.

Date and Time: January 29, 2017, the start will be given at 10:00.

 

  • 4. PARTICIPATION FEE

To participate in the competition, runners are supplied with two types of participant’s packs:

  • – The standard package (includes a medal, a backpack, the official T-shirt, at the finish – mulled wine from the factory Cricova)
  • – The standard package + wine tasting and lunch

Price of the Standard Package

  • For the citizens of Moldova – 500 lei
  • For foreign citizens – 100 euro

Price for Standard Package + tasting

  • For the citizens of Moldova – 1000 lei
  • For foreign citizens – 123 euros

Foreigners who have residence permit /identity card for stateless Moldova fee will be:

  • Price of the Standard Package – 500 lei
  • Price for Standard Package + tasting – 1000 lei

 

5. COMPETITION SCHEDULE

January 27, 2017

09:30 AM – 6:00 PM – Distribution of the Wine Run starter packs at Cricova brand store (96 Shchusev street)

 

January 28, 2017

  • 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM – Distribution of the Wine Run starter packs at Cricova brand store (96 Shchusev street)
  • 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM – Free tour through Chisinau – Chisinau Walking City Tour at the brand store Cricova (Shchusev Street, 96). The tour includes guide service in English.
  • 6:30 PM – Pasta Party in Olive restaurant (139 Decebal blvd.)

 

January 29, 2017

  • 8:00 AM – Gathering of registered participants in Chisinau (Rishcani, in front of the Circus)
  • 8:30 AM – Departure of buses to Cricova
  • 9:00 AM – Give out of starter packs and numbers
  • 10:00 AM – Start
  • 11:30 AM – Finish
  • 12:00 AM – Start of the tasting (for participants with the appropriate package)

 

6. PARTICIPANTS AND CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

Everyone older than 16 years (born in 2001 and older) will be admitted for the participation in the race.

Registration will be carried out until January 27, 2017 (inclusive) on the site www.winerun.md.

Registration will be possible in the Cricova store on 96 Shchusev street, on January 27, from 11:00 to 16:00, on January 28, from 11:00 to 18:00.

The number of participants is limited: 300 people.

Access for participants to the race will be based on the documents, submitted to the registration committee on the day of receiving the starter pack:

  • – Identification card with proof of the participant’s age (mandatory for all participants);
  • – Sport health insurance (recommended for foreign citizens).

 

7. RESULTS RECORDING

The results of the participants in the races for 10 kilometers  will be recorded  by electronic timing system with chips.

Determination of winners will be made based on the time of their arrival at the finish line.

 

8. AWARDING

The top three finishers will be awarded on Wine Run (men and women).

  • Men – 1,2,3 place
  • Women – 1,2,3 place

The winners will be awarded with special medals, prizes and gifts from the partners of the event.

 

9. PARTICIPANT’S STARTER PACK

Wine Run participants will receive a starter participant’s package, which will include:

  • – T-shirt with the symbols of Wine Run 2017
  • – Start number with an integrated electronic chip. Be sure to attach it to the competition according to the instructions.
  • – Information newsletter
  • – Respiratory mask. Use it in certain parts of the route (see map)
  • – A bottle of Moldovian wine from the Cricova

Distribution of starter packages will be held in the Cricova store on 96 Shchusev street, on January 27, from 11:00 to 16:00, on January 28, from 11:00 to 18:00 and on January 29 at the start zone.

 

10. COPYRIGHT

After the registration in the competition, all participants automatically allow the event organizers and partners to use and reproduce any audio, video and photo materials, containing images of the race participants. These materials can be transferred to third parties without the consent of the participants. This action can be carried out in any time, and operates on an international level.
